Email
- All email programs work in a similar fashion.
- When attaching files to your
email, only attach one file at a time.
- In the body of your email tell
the recipient what the attachment is and why you have sent
it.
- Never open an attachment if you
do not what it is, even if it comes from someone you know
*and love*.
Searching the Web
Finding information on the Web can sometimes be a
challenge. Here are some tips to make it easier
- Always take the time to read how the search engine you
are using works.
- Try using advanced searches if a basic search does not
give you want.
- Try putting in multiple keywords to help narrow your
search.
- If you know the area that you want, but are not sure of
what keywords to use, try using Yahoo.
- For basic information use Yahooligans which is a
kid's search engine that has really good stuff on it.

Using Your Browser
- To go back to a previously viewed page, click (Alt + left
arrow)
- To go forward to a previously viewed page, click (Alt +
right arrow)
- To bookmark a page (put it in your favourites folder),
click (Ctrl + D)
- To Reload a page, hit F5
- To view the whole screen, hit F11, if you want to get
back to 'normal', just hit F11 again.
